Warning: This post contains potential spoilers for the Street Fighter movie.
The upcoming Street Fighter movie is a star-studded action thriller with references to the game, such as the stages, moves, and powers of each fighter. A new leaked plot detail confirms that Street Fighter is an action and suspense film, not a typical superhero movie.
On Patreon, an insider has shared major spoiler plot details for the Street Fighter movie.
The film is set in 1993. Ryu (Andrew Koji) is training alone, trying to master the Hadouken, and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) is living a more relaxed life but feels like something is missing.

When Chun-Li (Callina Liang) appears, she is investigating disappearances connected to a criminal organization. Ryu and Ken return to the World Warrior tournament, but there is a hidden conspiracy behind it. The tournament is just a cover.
Famous fighters appear, including Guile (Cody Rhodes), Cammy (Mel Jarnson), Blanka (Jason Momoa), and Dhalsim (Vidyut Jammwal). The real story focuses on M. Bison (David Dastmalchian), who is secretly controlling everything.
In the movie, Ryu and Ken are the main characters, as they fight again after going their separate ways. Ryu is a wandering traveler, while Ken is a fading celebrity. Chun-Li recruits them for the tournament. She discovers that fighters are being studied, and some have been modified through experiments.

Balrog and others are working for Bison. Ryu almost falls into the “dark side” (Satsui no Hado), but Ken brings him back. Bison’s plan is to build an army of fighters he can control to take over the world.
In the final fight, Ryu fights Bison and wins… but does not fully destroy him. Bison survives (or his mind remains alive), leaving a bigger threat for the future.
The film introduces many characters at once with a large cast. It feels like fan service for fans of the video game. However, some people think the story may be weak, rushed, or poorly written because there are too many characters and not enough screen time for each.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai and written by Dalan Musson, Street Fighter serves as a complete reboot of the franchise and marks the fourth live-action feature adaptation of Capcom’s video game series.
Street Fighter stars Noah Centineo as Ken Masters, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Roman Reigns as Akuma, David Dastmalchian as M.
