Paramount Pictures has officially announced the release date and cast details for the upcoming The Angry Birds Movie 3. The film is now in the development stage, with John Rice set to return as director.

The Angry Birds Movie 3 will hit theaters on January 29, 2027, by Paramount Pictures.
The film follows the success of the first two Angry Birds movies, which together have grossed more than a half billion around the world.

In The Angry Birds Movie 3, returning cast members include Jason Sudeikis as Red, Josh Gad as Chuck, Rachel Bloom as Silver, and Danny McBride as Bomb. New voice cast additions include Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Lily James, Marcello Hernandez, Walker Scobell, Sam Richardson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, James Austin Johnson, and Psalm West.
In a statement, producer John Cohen said, “We’re very excited to be partnering with Paramount Pictures and extremely proud of our incredible cast.” Cohen added, “Not only do we have Jason, Josh, Rachel, and Danny returning to voice their fantastic characters, but they’re surrounded by an all-star ensemble of comedic talent. These are some of the funniest people out there today, and we’re so thrilled to have them all on board.”

Directed by Rice from a screenplay by Thurop Van Orman, who will also executive produce alongside Toru Nakahara. Heitor Pereira, the Grammy-winning composer of the first two films and Despicable Me, returns to score the third movie.

Produced by Cohen (Despicable Me, The Garfield Movie, Angry Birds), Dan Chuba (The Mitchells vs. the Machines), and Carla Connor. The film’s productions are Rovio Entertainment Corporation, SEGA, and Namit Malhotra’s production company Prime Focus Studios. Prime Focus Studios, Rovio, and SEGA will produce the movie in association with One Cool Group, Flywheel Media, and dentsu. The animation is handled by DNEG Animation.
