David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, writer of ‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,’ will pen the script for the upcoming film, with the director yet to be announced.
Warner Bros. Pictures revealed the title for ‘The Conjuring 4’ at CinemaCon 2023: ‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson will reprise their roles as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. More cast members will be announced soon. As per Collider, James Wan might return to helm the highly-anticipated sequel. During the promotion of M3GAN last year, Wan said, “Yeah, we are working on it right now. With the Conjuring films, we are very precious about them. And so we kind of want to just take our time to make sure we get it right and to make sure the emotion of the Warren stories that we want to tell, moving into, and potentially wrapping up, we just want to make sure that it’s the right thing, the right story that we’re telling.”
The Conjuring Universe is a series of interconnected supernatural horror films created by James Wan and produced by New Line Cinema. It contains several sequels and spin-offs, such as ‘Annabelle,’ ‘The Nun,’ and ‘The Curse of La Llorona.’
