20th Century Studios has released a new clip for ‘The Creator,’ starring John David Washington as Joshua. The film is set in a future affected by a war between humans and artificial intelligence. It follows a former special forces agent hired to track down and eliminate the “Creator,” who has a powerful and mysterious weapon capable of ending the war by wiping out humanity. Directed by Gareth Edwards and co-written with Chris Weitz, the film also stars Madeleine Yuna Voyles as Alfie, Gemma Chan as Maya, Ken Watanabe as Harun, Sturgill Simpson as Shipley, Allison Janney as Howell, Ralph Ineson as Andrews, along with Marc Menchaca and Veronica Ngo as Kami.

Amidst a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, Joshua (Washington), a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife (Chan), is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war… and mankind itself. Joshua and his team of elite operatives journey across enemy lines, into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory… only to discover the world-ending weapon he’s been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child.
