The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special Review: The television special from James Gunn before the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The show is a fun ride to celebrate Christmas. Kevin Bacon is so special here, he spends his Christmas time with The Guardians of the Galaxy.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special opens with Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), who is suffering from the loss of Gamora during the Christmas season. Mantis (Pom Klementieff) revealed to Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) that she was Quill’s half-sister. Mantis realizes that Quill loves to celebrate Christmas, and she wants to gift him something special. So Mantis and Drax decided to go to Earth and kidnap Quill’s childhood hero, Kevin Bacon.
Drax and Mantis move to Hollywood Hills, California (Earth), and reach Kevin Bacon. Mantis uses her powers to put Kevin in a trance and return to Knowhere. Later, the Guardians surprise Quill with a Christmas celebration and present him with his childhood hero, Quill finds out that Kevin was kidnapped and that he’s in Mantis’ trance. He apologized for the incident and demanded that he be returned home. Later, Kevin found out that Quill was a superhero and used his movie dance steps to fight against Ronan. He decided to stay a few hours to celebrate Christmas with the Guardians of the Galaxy. At last, they started celebrating Christmas with Kevin, and the Christmas gifts are presented.
