The Witcher Season 3 Splits Into Two Parts

Netflix dropped a new trailer ‘The Witcher Season 3‘. The new trailer opened with Henry Cavill‘s Geralt of Rivia drinking a potion that makes his eyes dark and enhances his fighting abilities in order to face an ominous enemy. Volume 1 of The Witcher season 3—which contains episodes 1–5—premieres on Netflix on June 29, 2023, followed by Volume 2—which contains episodes 6–8—on July 27, 2023. Watch the trailer below.

Season 3 will be the final appearance of Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia; from Season 4 onwards, he will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth. Most recently, the first look poster was revealed, which shows Henry Cavill’s Geralt, Anya Chalotra‘s Yennefer, and Freya Allan‘s Ciri.

How Does The Witcher Season 2 End?

In the final episodes of Season 2, Geralt and Ciri face off against a powerful enemy who seeks to control Ciri and use her powers for nefarious purposes. This antagonist is revealed to be a sorcerer or witch with a personal vendetta against Ciri’s family, and they pose a grave threat to Geralt, Ciri, and their allies. In an epic battle, Geralt and Ciri use their combined skills and powers to defeat the antagonist and prevent them from achieving their evil plans. The season ends with Geralt and Ciri narrowly escaping from the conflict, but realizing that their journey is far from over. They vow to continue their quest to uncover the truth about Ciri’s powers and heritage and to protect each other from the dangers that lie ahead.

The Netflix series was created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. She serves as the showrunner and executive producer of the series. Hissrich is an experienced television writer and producer known for her work on shows such as “Daredevil,” “The Defenders,” and “Umbrella Academy.” She was also a writer on “The West Wing” and “Private Practice,” among other TV shows.
