In an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, Tom Cruise revealed the importance of watching movies on the big screen. He shared that he grew up with this experience and continues to value its immersive nature. Cruise believes that the communal and industry aspects of going to the movies are significant. He also mentioned that he still enjoys attending film screenings.
Cruise said, “I grew up seeing movies on the big screen. That’s how I make them, and I like that experience; it’s immersive, and to have that as a community and an industry, it’s important.” Cruise said. “I still go the movies.”
Cruise plans to watch both Barbie and Oppenheimer on their opening weekend. He will prioritize Oppenheimer on Friday and then enjoy Barbie on Saturday. He said, “I want to see both Barbie and Oppenheimer. I’ll see them opening weekend. Friday, I’ll see Oppenheimer first, and then Barbie on Saturday.”
Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is set to release on July 12, 2023. Greta Gerwig’s Barbie and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer are scheduled to release on July 21, 2023.
