Robert Downey Jr.‘s Tony Stark and Gwyneth Paltrow‘s Pepper Potts had a close relationship in the MCU. Potts was Stark’s personal assistant before becoming his love interest. During the first public appearance of Stark after his return. Stark met Potts in a blue gown at the party and danced with her. After that, they move outside and kiss. In Iron Man 2, Stark appoints Potts as the CEO of Stark Industries. She was previously working as Tony Stark’s personal assistant, she would take care of his schedule and perform any task he wished. During this time, Potts became good friends with Stark and soon, they had begun developing romantic feelings for each other. However, neither was able to act on these feelings, as they each feared that the other would not accept them.
Iron Man has grossed over $585 million. The film received two nominations at the 81st Academy Awards for Best Sound Editing and Best Visual Effects.

Iron Man was co-created by writer and editor Stan Lee, developed by scripter Larry Lieber, and designed by artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby. Iron Man first appeared in Tales of Suspense #39 (cover dated March 1963) and received his own title in Iron Man #1 (May 1968). Also in 1963, the character founded the Avengers alongside Thor, Ant-Man, Wasp, and the Hulk.
