Review:
Episode 5 opens with Captain Carter replacing Captain America in the Avengers team, fighting the Chitauri army in 2012. Captain Carter and Black Widow share a strong friendship, successfully defeating Loki and ending the war. During their next mission, while aboard a ship, Carter and Widow discover that the Hydra Stomper still exists, and Steve Rogers is alive. However, his memories were erased within the Red Room, led by Black Widow’s stepmother, Melina Vostokoff. As they watch the Hydra Stomper, Carter is shocked when it suddenly turns on and starts attacking her and Widow.
Upon returning to the S.H.I.E.L.D. base, Nick Fury and Widow inform Carter that Rogers died in 1953 and that the entity inside the Stomper is not human. Carter learns that the next target of the Hydra Stomper is the Secretary of State, Bucky Barnes, a friend of Rogers. As the Stomper attacks Bucky, Carter engages in a mid-air fight, causing the Stomper’s power to diminish. With Widow’s assistance, they manage to reboot the Hydra Stomper. Rogers regains his memory, and they proceed to the location of the Red Room.
Carter, Widow, and the Stomper engage in intense combat against numerous robotic armies. Meanwhile, Melina Vostokoff appears with her Black Widows and discloses that she is controlling the Stomper. This revelation leads to a fierce confrontation between Vostokoff, Carter, and Widow. Despite Carter’s attempts to subdue the Stomper, she eventually decides to cease the battle. In a surprising turn, the Stomper becomes aware that it is under the control of a ship and destroys it. Simultaneously, Widow employs a sting on Vostokoff’s leg, connecting it to the Stomper’s flight.
In the end, Carter chooses to track down the Stomper using Tony Stark‘s car. Suddenly, a magical portal opens, transporting her to another location where Carter encounters Scarlet Witch.
