The filming for Marvel’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘ has resumed.
Wilson Bethel, who played Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye in Netflix’s Daredevil, is reprising his role in ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ According to Deadline, Bethel will appear in at least three episodes of the series. Bullseye is a skilled assassin with deadly accuracy and is a nemesis of Daredevil.
Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (‘Loki Season 2‘) will co-direct ‘Daredevil: Born Again’. Dario Scardapane (‘The Punisher‘) is the new showrunner, replacing Matt Corman and Chris Ord.
Recently, it was reported that Marvel is rebooting ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ with new writers and directors due to the initial approach not aligning with the action-packed style of the Netflix series. The SAG-AFTRA strike has further complicated matters, leading to the delay of the series release, originally planned for 2024. Only a portion of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ episodes were filmed, and the series will be reworked, with some existing scenes and elements being retained.
The majority of the ‘Daredevil’ cast, featured on Netflix, joins the new Disney+ show; Elden Henson and Deborah Ann return as Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. Marvel’s ‘Echo‘ release officially includes Netflix’s Daredevil and Defenders shows in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The Disney+ ‘Timeline Order’ tab is now updated to include shows previously produced by Marvel TV.
