Recently, James Gunn confirmed that he has finished writing the finale for ‘Peacemaker’ Season 2. He also confirmed that ‘Peacemaker’ Season 1 is not canon to the DCU. Season 2 takes place after ‘Superman’.
On Threads, Gunn said, “[Peacemaker] Season 2 is fully part of the DC Universe, not the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).”
In Season 2, John Cena will return as the iconic Peacemaker, alongside Steve Agee as John Economos, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, and Freddie Stroma as Vigilante.
What are the plot details for ‘Peacemaker’ Season 2?
The plot details have not yet been revealed and are currently under wraps. Peacemaker and Vigilante will be joining Emilia Harcourt, Economos, and Adebayo for a new mission.

In Gunn’s DCU, a spin-off series featuring Amanda Waller titled ‘Waller‘ was revealed to be in development. It is expected to begin filming this year.
