Elizabeth Olsen has no idea exactly what is happening in the MCU following her last film — Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

In a recent interview with Evening Standard, Olsen said she was surprised by the news of Robert Downey Jr. being cast as Doctor Doom. She shared that many people texted her about it — saying, “Lots of people were texting me — ‘I can’t believe this about Downey, did you know?’”

Olsen admitted she had no idea and had to look it up on the internet to find out. Regarding Wanda Maximoff’s potential return, she stated that Marvel keeps its plans secret, saying, “There’s a Marvel brain that just lets us know — [when a new movie or TV series is in the works].” Olsen shared her love for Wandavision, saying it opened up new possibilities for her character.

Olsen said, “Lots of people were texting me saying, I can’t believe this about Downey, did you know? and I was like, I have no idea what you’re taking about’ and had to go on the internet to find out.” She added, “There’s a Marvel brain that just lets us know [when a new movie or TV series is in train]. I adored Wandavision, which opened up a whole world for me and the character, totally different from when I first signed on 10 years ago.”

Speaking to FM104, Olsen believes her MCU character, Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, has been well utilized in the films, and she’s open to returning.

She spoke about the possibility of reprising her role as Wanda in the MCU, saying, “If there’s a good way to use her, I’m always happy to come back.”

There are rumors that the Scarlet Witch may appear in the upcoming Vision Quest series, which is currently in development.
