Following the casting of male actors in Christopher Nolan‘s next movie, it has recently been revealed that two female leads are also confirmed for the film. Yes—Anne Hathaway and Zendaya will join previously announced cast members Matt Damon and Tom Holland.
According to Jeff Sneider’s The InSneider Report, Zendaya is reportedly set to appear for “just a few minutes” in Nolan’s untitled film, with her character being “little more than a cameo.” She will possibly be paired with Holland, as the plot centers on two aerial helicopter cops.
We’ve previously hinted that the plot centers on “a pair of aerial helicopter cops, featuring an older mentor (Damon) and a younger lead (Holland).” However, Deadline recently reported, “The loglines or descriptions of the film published to date are incorrect, and details are being kept under wraps.”
Filming is scheduled to begin in early 2025. Nolan will produce the film alongside his producing partner and wife, Emma Thomas, under their Syncopy banner.
Zendaya was last seen in Dune: Part Two and Challengers, both of which performed well at the worldwide box office. She is currently filming her new movie The Drama alongside Robert Pattinson in Boston, with some set images having been leaked during production. She will also join the production of Euphoria Season 3 and Spider-Man 4 next year.
The untitled movie is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2026, and will be distributed by Universal Pictures.
