The Mission: Impossible movies starring Tom Cruise are always a step ahead when it comes to new stunt sequences, as we know. But director Christopher McQuarrie says there are stunts in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning that will be breathtaking and beyond anything seen in previous films.
In an interview with Empire, McQuarrie said that Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will have stunts so intense they will “melt your brain.” He shared that during filming in Africa, Tom Cruise performed a stunt more extreme than anything he had ever done before.
Quarrie said, “There are stunts in this movie that will melt your brain.” McQuarrie added, “There would be a day in Africa — any day in Africa — where Tom would go out and do something that topped anything he had ever done before.”

Cruise reveals that while performing high-speed stunts at 120-130 miles per hour, he struggled to get enough oxygen. Due to the extreme conditions, he had to train himself to breathe properly during the stunts. He admits there were moments when he physically passed out and was unable to regain control in the cockpit.
Cruise said, “When you stick your face out, going over 120 to 130 miles an hour, you’re not getting oxygen.” He added, “So I had to train myself how to breathe. There were times I would pass out physically; I was unable to get back into the cockpit.”
Will Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning be the final film of the franchise?

When asked if Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will be the last film in the franchise, Cruise responded, “You gotta see the movie. It’s a hard thing for me to discuss at the moment because it really is something that you have to experience.”
