James Gunn revealed that many of the Peacemaker characters will continue into another DC show that isn’t Peacemaker Season 3.
Following Peacemaker episode 6, which connected the series to the upcoming Superman movie Man of Tomorrow, Gunn opened up about the show’s future. He confirmed there isn’t a third season of Peacemaker in the short term.

Speaking to Deadline, Gunn said that several characters from Peacemaker will appear in another DC show, though it won’t be Peacemaker Season 3. Gunn also noted that viewers will learn more in episode 8 about what’s next for Christopher Smith and his story: “You’re gonna find out more in episode 8 because it’s not necessarily that.”
Gunn said, “Some of these characters will continue, but also, it’s not exactly Peacemaker 3. I’m not ruling it out. You’ll see episode 8 and maybe you’ll find out a little bit more.”
Gunn has been planning a Peacemaker spinoff focused on Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller, though development has moved slowly. Regarding The Authority movie, Gunn admitted that the script has been difficult to crack due to overlap with other DC projects. He confirmed the project is not canceled, revealing that a promising creator recently spoke with him about it. “There’s someone who is a really good creator who talked to me the other day,” he said.
According to Gunn, making films about lesser-known characters is a challenge since it’s harder to bring audiences to theaters.
Gunn Teases “Really, Really Good Story” for Batman in The Brave and the Bold

There is also an important update for Batman: The Brave and the Bold from Gunn. He says the film is expected to release before 2030. Many big actors have asked him about playing Batman in the DCU.
Gunn said, “Plenty of things are in flux on what his situation is with his parentage and all that stuff, so I wouldn’t take any of it.”
Gunn says they now have a “really, really good story” for Batman in The Brave and the Bold.
Peacemaker Season 2 is now streaming on HBO Max.
