It’s not Spider-Man’s practical suit Tobey Maguire is going to wear in Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday, as his role is confirmed in the movie.
According to Daniel Richtman, his Patreon post revealed that Maguire’s Spider-Man was reportedly wearing a CGI suit while filming Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday.
Maguire was last appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and in Doomsday he will have a short beard, similar to Ultimate Spider-Man.
Another report from scooper @MyTimeToShineH says, “Tobey Maguire was only in a mo-cap suit for Avengers: Doomsday at first because his new suit wasn’t ready yet.”
During the filming of Doomsday in London in August 2025, he was spotted with a fan. See the image below.
As we previously reported, Maguire’s Spider-Man is said to appear at least in the beginning of Doomsday in some capacity. He will have a fight scene.
Most recently, a leaked description has revealed a version of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer. It’s not confirmed if this is the final one. Read it below:
The teaser begins with Doctor Doom’s voiceover (Robert Downey Jr.). Doom speaks about his life of trials and suffering. Victor Von Doom appears in a cemetery in the rain, his face hidden, until the scene cuts with a flare, leaving only the silhouette of his suit. The screen transforms with a powerful explosion and Loki’s voice fades out. Thor appears on a vast coast, Sam Wilson and Reed Richards look at the sky with fear, and Doctor Strange runs through a dark room as two universes collide. Cities are also seen being destroyed simultaneously on two planets. Doom says he will release the eternal trap in which he was imprisoned. Several battles led by Doom himself are shown, followed by another narration of his. After a mask falls on him, it is revealed that Doom’s face is severely disfigured, with a large scar and a texture similar to burnt clay. The trailer ends with Steve and Peggy emerging from a TVA-style portal and looking directly at the camera.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron. The film features cinematography by Newton Thomas Sigel (Bohemian Rhapsody, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and production design by Kasra Farahani.
