The Russo Brothers previously shared a cryptic photo teasing an important set image from Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday, along with the caption, “Look hard…”
According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, the photo the Russo Brothers previously shared is from the set where they filmed a scene featuring Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom and his family in a lab during an experiment that kills them and severely damages his body.
It has been reported that Avengers: Doomsday will dive deeper into Doctor Doom’s past and reveal what happened to his family, as he is living on Earth-828, the Fantastic Four’s world. Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers going back in time to be with Peggy Carter allegedly created the incursions that led to the death of Doctor Doom’s family. Now, Doom is hunting Steve in order to kill him for what he did, manipulating everyone in his path to achieve his goal.
Steve Rogers’ choice to live that life in Avengers: Doomsday reportedly threatens the timeline. Prior to the end of Loki Season 2, Loki visits Steve, Peggy, and baby James, then relocates them.
Avengers: Doomsday will adapt Jonathan Hickman’s New Avengers and Secret Wars comic book storylines. It ties into the MCU’s main storyline.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
