A new Spider-Man: Brand New Day merch has revealed a first look at Mark Ruffalo’s Savage Hulk.
In the promo art, you can see the first glimpse of Hulk in his more classic, rage-filled form. Hulk has not appeared in his full savage form for quite some time. Since Avengers: Infinity War, Bruce Banner has mainly appeared as Smart Hulk, who is a calmer, more balanced version of the character. The new merch confirms Marvel is finally bringing back Hulk’s raw power and rage.

We are getting the Hulk’s rage back again. In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, fans can finally see Bruce Banner, a.k.a. the Hulk, transform, as confirmed by insider @Cryptic4KQual. This will be the first time we have seen a Hulk transformation since 2012’s The Avengers.
If Tom Holland’s Spider-Man had to deal with Savage Hulk, he would be in serious trouble. Bruce Banner is rumored to lose control after the device keeping him human is destroyed, which brings the Hulk back. Green Hulk is a pure rage monster whose strength grows with his anger, while Grey Hulk is a smarter, more ruthless fighter who plans his attacks and fights dirty.
According to Daniel Richtman, fans may actually see Grey Hulk in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, even though the studio is reportedly pushing the green Hulk in promotions to keep the reveal secret.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
Here’s the new synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
