The title for the sixth installment of the Insidious franchise has been revealed. The film is officially titled Insidious: Out of the Further. The first trailer will be released on Monday, April 13.
Here are the plot details for Insidious: Out of the Further:
“A trio of stalkers infiltrate a quiet suburb and force a new family into the astral plane, where they uncover a terrifying truth: the Further is bleeding into the real world.”

Directed by Jacob Chase, the film is based on a script he co-wrote with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, whose credits include The Conjuring 2 and Orphan. It serves as a sequel to Insidious: The Red Door.
The film stars Amelia Eve, Brandon Perea, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Sam Spruell, Island Austin, Laura Gordon, with Lin Shaye reprising her role as Elise Rainier.
According to Bloody Disgusting, Insidious: Out of the Further will see the Further — the dark, parasitic dimension that exists parallel to the world of the living, where malevolent entities linger — begin to seep into the real world for the first time.
The film is produced by Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan, and Leigh Whannell, with executive producers Johnson-McGoldrick, Ryan Turek, Steven Schneider, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones.
Insidious: Out of the Further will hit theaters on August 21, 2026, by Sony Pictures Releasing.
