Tobey Maguire‘s Spider-Man and his universe reportedly play a major role in Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday. It is reported that Marvel is bringing back several villains from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, along with a major battle involving the X-Men.
According to insider Cryptic4KQual, Maguire’s Spider-Man in Avengers: Doomsday is the same version seen in the Raimi trilogy and Spider-Man: No Way Home, not a variant of the character.

Insider DanielRPK also reports that the Avengers: Doomsday script features Ian McKellen‘s Magneto battling villains from Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man universe. Also, he confirmed that Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man will return in Avengers: Secret Wars.
In a recent leak, it was reported that the opening scene of Avengers: Doomsday features Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds‘ Deadpool traveling to Maguire’s Spider-Man’s Earth in an attempt to destroy it before it collides with their own universe.
The report also claims that Avengers: Doomsday will feature multiple Incursions, not just between the three main universes—Earth-616, Earth-828, and Earth-10005. Also, a large part of Avengers: Doomsday reportedly takes place on Earth-828, the Fantastic Four’s universe.
Fans who have wanted to see their heroes return over the years are finally getting that in Avengers: Doomsday. The film will visit multiple universes that “we already know and love.”
According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, Tobey Maguire’s codename on the set of Avengers: Doomsday was reportedly “Venom,” while the codename for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine was “X-23.”

In Avengers: Doomsday, beloved heroes from three distinct universes are set on a deadly collision course, facing an existential threat unlike anything they have ever encountered.
The film is produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Jonathan Schwartz, with Callum McDougall serving as executive producer.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters across the United States on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled for release on December 17, 2027.
