Warning: This article contains spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is not going to sideline the core characters just because the Defenders are returning. The season will feature the return of several Defenders characters, including Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Elektra.
There are rumors that tomorrow’s Disney D23 panel will feature announcements about the Defenders — Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist — returning in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, along with new footage from the season.

Deborah Ann Woll, who plays Karen Page in the series, has confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will not forget the show’s core characters or their stories.
In an interview with The Direct, conducted just days before production on Season 3 wrapped, Woll said the season will properly balance the returning Defenders with Daredevil: Born Again’s main characters. The actress said the team’s goal is to “honor all of our stories.”
Woll said, “I’m hoping and confident that what we what we create in the end, because we’re still a few more days left on Season 3, will honor all of our stories.”
Woll says the creative team cares deeply about Karen Page and her storyline. She says they “fight every single second” to make sure Karen’s screen time is meaningful and moves the story forward.
Woll added, “I can say that Dario and the people who are creating the show, as well as myself, care deeply about Karen and what her storyline is, and whatever time I do get or don’t get or whatever works, you know, we fight every single second to make sure that that is valuable story-progressing time that is true to who she is, and, you know, sometimes that means being the center focus, and sometimes that means not.”
Woll’s comments suggest that Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 may give more attention to the returning Defenders. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Elektra could receive more screen time as the Defenders reunite. Marvel’s street-level heroes are back in the spotlight, with the Defenders returning and Punisher joining Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 Set Six Months After Season 2

Recently, Vincent D’Onofrio confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will be set six months after the events of Season 2.
D’Onofrio said: “Charlie and I have been involved in every aspect of the show, not just the acting. So, it’s been a completely different experience and also fulfilling and really brutal and really hard on the body. Charlie and Wilson do a lot more stunts than I do, but this season it was a brutal season for all of us.”
He added, “There’s a lot of action in this season, and we picked up literally only six months after the second season ends. So, he went to prison, I got exiled somewhere, right? I’m not going to say where, but I am, and then, you know, because we can’t help it, we get back together again. But, you know, it’s a completely different feeling inside and out during the new iteration and fulfilling.”
In Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock/Daredevil alongside Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Arty Froushan as Buck Cashman, Zabryna Guevara as Sheila Rivera, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, Elodie Yung as Elektra, Jeremy Isaiah Earl as Cole North, and Jack Mulhern as Philip.
In Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again, Matt Murdock (Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, fights for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (D’Onofrio) pursues his own political ambitions in New York City. When their past identities begin to resurface, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is set to premiere in March 2027.
