Finally, Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry Are Collaborating On A Film After A Three-Decade Acting Career
Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry are set to star in the Warner Bros. film ‘Maude v Maude’. The global action thriller is described as a ‘Bond vs. Bourne’ type, and the production will begin soon: the location is to be announced.
Roseanne Liang is directing the film from a screenplay by Scott Mosier. Liang is a New Zealand filmmaker who previously directed the films “My Wedding and Other Secrets” (2011) and “Shadow in the Cloud” (2020).
Berry and Jolie will produce the film alongside Berry’s producing partner Holly Jeter under their HalleHolly banner, as well as Jeff Kirschenbaum and Joe Roth through RK Films. Mosier and Liang will serve as executive producers.
As per Deadline, Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry have not worked together in a film or TV show.
Jolie’s notable films include “Girl, Interrupted” (1999), for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” (2001), “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” (2005), “Changeling” (2008), “Salt” (2010), “Maleficent” (2014), and “First They Killed My Father” (2017). Most recently, she starred in the MCU film “Eternals,” directed by Chloé Zhao.
Berry’s notable films include “Boomerang” (1992), “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge” (1999), for which she won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for her portrayal of the title role, the “X-Men” film series (2000-2014), “Monster’s Ball” (2001), for which she won an Academy Award for Best Actress, “Die Another Day” (2002), “Catwoman” (2004), “Cloud Atlas” (2012), and “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” (2019), among many others.
