Warning: This post contains spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
It’s now a big lineup of villains appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Marvel and Sony have done a great job of bringing classic Spider-Man villains into Brand New Day. Another update from an insider reveals a new villain appearing in the film.
It is reported that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will include a scene featuring Spider-Man taking on several villains in fast-paced, back-to-back action sequences.
According to Daniel Richtman on Patreon, Shocker will reportedly appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Shocker, also known as Herman Schultz, is a classic Spider-Man villain in Marvel Comics. He is a skilled engineer and career criminal who fights Spider-Man using high-powered vibro-shock gauntlets capable of generating destructive vibration blasts. In the MCU, Herman Schultz was portrayed by Bokeem Woodbine in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), where he became the new Shocker after inheriting the vibro-shock gauntlets from Jackson Brice.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to feature one of the biggest villain lineups in the franchise, with The Hand, Boomerang, Tarantula, Scorpion, Ramrod, Tombstone, Shocker, and another unrevealed main villain all reportedly appearing. Tom Holland recently teased the film’s rogues’ gallery, saying, “There are a lot of new villains in this movie. There are some returning villains… there are some fight scenes with some heroes, and there’s one villain making a debut.”
He added, “I think the stakes have never been higher, but the stakes have never been more personal.“

In a recent interview, Sadie Sink teased that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will feature a mysterious new villain. She said, “Spider-Man faces challenges like never before, with mysterious villains appearing one after another.”
Holland also said that the main villain in Spider-Man: Brand New Day has not been revealed yet.
“It’s still very much a secret. I think it’s unlike anything we’ve seen in one of these movies before.“
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Marvin Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
Here are the plot details for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he has devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters in RealD 3D, D-BOX, Cinemark XD, 4DX, ScreenX, and Dolby Cinema on July 31, 2026. Ticket sales are now live.
