The Namor-Sue-Reed love triangle from Marvel Comics may reportedly make its way into the MCU in Avengers: Doomsday. Namor has long had feelings for Sue Storm, but despite his attempts to win her over, she has never left Reed for him.
Several scoopers and insiders have claimed that Tenoch Huerta‘s Namor and Vanessa Kirby‘s Sue Storm share several scenes together in the desert in Avengers: Doomsday. One reported scene also features Namor flying over the ocean while carrying Sue Storm in his arms.
Is Namor trying to save Sue from an incoming threat attempting to kidnap her? A new leaked behind-the-scenes image from Avengers: Doomsday reportedly reveals Tenoch Huerta’s Namor and Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm preparing to take flight, with Sue holding onto Namor. See it below.

During this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), Huerta Mejía told Variety that Namor and Sue Storm “have an argument” in Avengers: Doomsday before learning “to work together” to solve a major “task.”
He added, “Something big is happening, and Namor has to make this hard decision.”
Speaking to La Resolana, Huerta Mejía revealed that he filmed scenes with Vanessa Kirby for Avengers: Doomsday, referring to her as “a great and spectacular coworker.”
Also, speaking to ComicBook.com, Huerta Mejía described Sue as a noble leader rather than a tyrannical one, something Namor greatly respects. Huerta Mejía says Sue is the one who pushes the action forward, particularly influencing Namor’s decisions.
“Something that happened, in the script and for real, is like this energy,” Huerta Mejía said. “This woman who is powerful and determined, and she says, ‘This is going to happen, this is what we need to do.’ And for him, he’s like, she’s protecting her family, she’s protecting her world, and she’s a leader. She’s a noble leader, not a tyrannical leader, and that is fantastic.”
He continued, “In real life, when you know that kind of person, it’s impressive, and for Namor, that happened with her. With Sue, it’s… oh my God, this is serious… Namor has to make a really hard decision, and he can’t understand what’s happening… We are not enemies anymore, not at the moment. Right now, we need to join together and be together to defeat this big threat. But everything happened because Sue Storm, she just pushed all the action, talking about Namor, I mean. It’s… honestly, it’s gonna be great for the people; there are so many things.”
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
