Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is undergoing additional photography just four months before its release. New scenes are being added, and one of the biggest updates is that Scarlet Witch may be returning.
According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, “Elizabeth Olsen’s stunt double filmed something yesterday wearing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness outfit (or one very similar to it).”
Also, Olsen’s stunt double, Jennifer White, shared multiple stories on Instagram hinting that Wanda is back.
A variant of Wanda Maximoff is rumored to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, from the X-Men universe, as this was reportedly part of an earlier version of the script. According to the rumor, Magneto rules Genosha and has a “royal family” dynamic with Wanda, Pietro, and Polaris. The three are also reportedly part of the Brotherhood of Mutants, with Wanda joining Pietro and Polaris as members of Magneto’s mutant family. It is unclear whether this is still true with the current filming.
Another rumor claims that Doctor Doom possesses the lifeless body of Wanda Maximoff in Avengers: Doomsday, using her powers to create incursions or potentially create Battleworld.
In a recent interview with Empire Magazine, James Marsden said fans will see the X-Men from 27 years ago return in a new era. He teases that Avengers: Doomsday will bring together three massive universes. The universes collide as they face a serious existential threat.
Marsden said, “It’s an absolute collision of three gigantic universes, coming together in the face of a very serious existential threat. You’re seeing time on screen. You’re seeing [the X-Men] from 27 years ago, in new costumes, with new intentions and intensities.”
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.

“Universes collide, and the Multiverse Saga begins its final chapter in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday.
