Doomsday is now reportedly set to have two post-credits scenes, potentially setting up the events of Avengers: Secret Wars.

Infinity War featured Nick Fury calling Captain Marvel for help in its post-credits scene. Doomsday is now reportedly set to have two post-credits scenes, potentially setting up the events of Avengers: Secret Wars.
According to scooper James Mack, the Russo Brothers are planning two serious post-credits scenes for Avengers: Doomsday, which are set to set up Avengers: Secret Wars. Also, there will be “no jokes or comedic moments in either scene.”
The first post-credits scene would reveal that Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki is still alive, but without the powers he had in the series. (He would die during the movie.)
The second post-credits scene would show Tobey Maguire‘s Spider-Man and Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine in Battleworld.
“A very hot rumor just reached my ears about Avengers: Doomsday. Apparently, the Russo Brothers want two extremely serious post-credits scenes with no jokes whatsoever, setting up Avengers: Secret Wars.
The first scene would reveal that Loki is still alive but without the powers he had in the series. (Yes, Loki dies during the movie.) The second scene would show Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman on Battleworld.”
The previous leak claimed that Maguire’s Spider-Man, Wolverine, Deadpool, and Magneto would reportedly appear in the opening scene of Doomsday. Maguire’s Spider-Man universe would reportedly be destroyed by the X-Men before colliding with the X-Men universe.
‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ Will Directly Connect to ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ Russo Brothers Confirm
Recently, Marvel Studios released the official trailer for Avengers: Endgame Encore, which will be released in theaters on September 25. Disney has confirmed that the exclusive preview of Avengers: Doomsday shown during Avengers: Endgame Encore screenings will only be available to “audiences watching on screens certified by IMAX and Infinity Vision.”
Following the start of ticket sales, Avengers: Endgame Encore reportedly had the biggest pre-sales start ever for a re-release in just two hours. It is also on pace with some of the strongest pre-sales launches for any film in recent times.
Speaking to Fandango, the Russo Brothers said that Avengers: Endgame Encore is required viewing for Avengers: Doomsday.
“It’s going to connect the story of the two movies. There’s a natural progression from Endgame into Doomsday, which is also inclusive of all of the other stories that have been playing out.”
