The big days are ahead for Marvel fans, as Avengers: Doomsday is hitting theaters in a month. In Doomsday, we see three distinct universes facing incursions, following the events of Avengers: Endgame and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The world premiere will take place on December 14, 2026, in Los Angeles.
A new plot synopsis for Avengers: Doomsday has been released, hinting that Marvel heroes across the multiverse are joining forces. Here’s the synopsis:
“As a new existential threat emerges, courageous teams from three universes must come together to prevent a catastrophic event.
The Avengers, the New Avengers, the Wakandans, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men will need to put aside their suspicions of each other to work together against a force more powerful than any of these groups have faced before. Their choices and actions in this crucial moment will lay the foundation for the future of the Multiverse.”
The rumors on the Doomsday runtime are around 3 hours. Recently, scooper MyTimeToShineHello says, “The current cut of Doomsday is still over 3 hours. The studio is trying to get it under 2 hours 50 minutes without cutting the big moments.“
In an interview with LRM Online, Marvel boss Kevin Feige teased that audiences will be satisfied but surprised by the ending of Avengers: Doomsday.
Feige said, “I don’t wanna spoil anything, but I think that they will be incredibly satisfied and yet incredibly surprised by where it’s headed. We’ll have a hard time waiting a year for the next one [Secret Wars].”

The Russo Brothers addressed AP News about whether Avengers: Doomsday will “fix the MCU.”
“It’s a great question. It’s part of the unique challenge. The thing that Joe and I have always appreciated about our collaboration with Marvel is: Our job isn’t to answer for the entirety of the MCU. We intersect it in a very specific way. It’s that intersection which is where we can make sense of things.”
