Prime Video‘s The Boys prequel Vought Rising was announced at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con and will focus on the characters Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) and Stormfront (Aya Cash). According to Cash, she has read two scripts for the series, describing them as “insanely good.”
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Cash said that she doesn’t know the exact filming date for Vought Rising, but teased that the two scripts she read were ‘insanely good.’
Cash said, “No, we don’t actually know yet.” Cash added, “I’ve read two scripts and they’re absolutely insanely good. But that’s about all I can tell you.”
Vought Rising is developed by Eric Kripke and Paul Grellong for Prime Video. It is a prequel to the 2019 series The Boys.
Here are the plot details for Vought Rising:
Vought Rising is a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s—the early exploits of Soldier Boy—and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought.
Recently, Prime Video announced plans for The Boys: Mexico and a second season of the spinoff series Gen V. Kripke revealed the possibility of expanding the franchise with further installments. He said that while the main story involving Butcher and Homelander is concluding in season 5, there are opportunities for new stories within the Boys universe.
He said, “This particular story is ending, the Butcher-Homelander is ending. But there can be other stories and other corners of the universe.”
Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television produce the series.
The Boys Seasons 1-4 are now available on Prime Video.
