Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Secret Wars has begun its post-production stage, and the studio is currently casting extras for various roles.
In a recent interview with Dog Day Afternoon, Ebon Moss-Bachrach confirmed that Avengers: Secret Wars will begin filming in August.
On AllCasting, Marvel Studios has posted a casting call for extras in Avengers: Secret Wars, with roles described as enhanced beings, military personnel, civilians, scientists, and fighters.
Following the events of Avengers: Doomsday, most characters in Avengers: Secret Wars will reportedly fall under Doctor Doom’s control.
The characters are said to be trapped inside a medieval-style version of Wanda Maximoff’s Westview reality, described as “WandaVision meets What If…? — the Avengers reimagined in 1602.”
In a recent interview with Fandango, Kevin Feige discussed how Avengers: Doomsday will connect to Avengers: Secret Wars.
Feige said, “They relate in a very different way than Infinity War and Endgame. I think people are expecting a similar connection. While one certainly does lead into the other, it’s in a very different way.”
Joe Russo says Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will follow a structure similar to “the comics from which they’re inspired.”
“Serialized storytelling is the goal here,” Russo said. “That’s the fun, that’s the mission, alongside making movies that bring people together.”
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.

Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters across the United States on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled for release on December 17, 2027.
