There are multiple unannounced cast members in Avengers: Doomsday whose roles have been kept secret and who are expected to appear in the film. There are rumors that Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch are among them. A new leak claims that Chris Hemsworth’s Thor will fight one of the Avengers in the movie, who is reportedly a sidekick of Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom.
According to scooper James Mack (via Patreon), Hemsworth’s Thor will battle Boris, a version of Stephen Strange, in Avengers: Doomsday. Why Doctor Strange is helping Doom will be revealed in the film’s third act.
In one scene, Boris has a conversation with Steve Rogers at Doom’s Castle. Boris then removes his mask, revealing himself to be Doctor Strange. He explains everything that happened following the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, including why he chose to help Doom and why the incursions cannot be stopped.
The scooper also shared a few updates, including:
- “Loki will reportedly face Doctor Doom in a one-on-one battle in Avengers: Secret Wars.”
- “Vision and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will reportedly form a friendship in Secret Wars.”
In a recent interview, Marvel President Kevin Feige teased the massive multiverse conflict in Avengers: Doomsday. He revealed that three different universes and three different Earths will literally collide, putting the heroes in a difficult situation.
Feige said, “Three different universes, three different Earths, literally colliding with each other. The question then arises: Will these heroes kill each other to protect their own worlds, or might they find a way to work together to save all three worlds?”
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
