Two X-Men characters are reprising their roles in the upcoming Marvel movies, Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.
According to reports from insider Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus, Dafne Keen‘s Laura Kinney/X-23 and Kelsey Grammer‘s Hank McCoy/Beast will return in Doomsday and Secret Wars.
During the December Discord Q&A with Alex Perez (via The Cosmic Circus), it was revealed that “Charles Xavier and Beast are confirmed for the upcoming Avengers films, along with Channing Tatum‘s Gambit.”
During the Disney APAC Content Showcase, Marvel’s Kevin Feige stated that it is “a dream come true” to have the X-Men back with Marvel Studios, marking the first major step toward including the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Feige said, “I think you will see that continue in our next few movies with some X-Men players that you might recognize.” He added, “Right after that, the whole story of Secret Wars really leads us into a new age of mutants and of the X-Men. Again, [it’s] one of those dreams come true. We finally have the X-Men back.”
Keen’s X-23 last appeared in a brief cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine, and Grammer’s Beast made his last appearance in The Marvels post-credits.
As reported by Production Weekly, Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to begin filming in late March 2025 in London, UK, and wrap by August 2025. The film will be directed by the Russo Brothers from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely.

In Avengers: Doomsday, Robert Downey Jr. will play the role of Doctor Doom, Chris Evans as an Nomad, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Wyatt Russell as US Agent, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Wonder Man.
