Dakota Johnson, along with Tahar Rahim and S. J. Clarkson, attended Sony’s ‘Madame Web‘ photocall at Claridge’s Hotel in London, England on January 31, 2024.
Johnson flaunts a touch of her toned midsection in a sleek cropped black blazer and stylish midi-skirt during the ‘Madame Web’ photocall.
According to Variety, Johnson recently departed from talent agency WME to join CAA, a move that raised industry eyebrows, especially coming just a week after the release of the ‘Madame Web’ trailer.
Directed by Clarkson from a screenplay by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. The film is the sixth installment in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU). The film stars Johnson as Madame Web, Sydney Sweeney as Julia Cornwall, Celeste O’Connor, and Isabela Merced, Rahim as Ezekiel Sims, Emma Roberts, Mike Epps, Adam Scott, and Zosia Mamet. According to the film’s plot: Meanwhile, in another universe… In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel’s most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures—if they can all survive a deadly present.
During her Entertainment Weekly interview, Johnson admitted to frequently getting mixed up between real scenes and those in Cassie’s head while filming. To stay focused, she would regularly check with Clarkson, for a quick reminder.
Johnson said, “I trusted her so much. Johnson added, “I’ve never really done a movie where you are on a blue screen, and there’s fake explosions going off, and someone’s going, ‘Explosion!’ and you act like there’s an explosion. That, to me, was absolutely psychotic. I was like, ‘I don’t know if this is going to be good at all! I hope that I did an okay job!’ But I trusted her. She works so hard, and she has not taken her eyes off this movie since we started.”
‘Madame Web’ hits theaters on February 16, 2024.
