DC’s ‘Blue Beetle‘ made $25.4 million in its domestic box office debut. It also started with $18.0 million internationally, including $2.7 million in Mexico and $2.1 million in Brazil. Overall, the film earned $43.4 million globally during its opening weekend, marking the lowest DC movie opening of 2023. ‘Blue Beetle’ also marked the seventh consecutive financial flop for the DCEU.
According to Box Office Reports, ‘Blue Beetle’ has taken over the top spot at the US Box Office, dethroning ‘Barbie’ with its $24.5 million earnings, marking the first time since its premiere.

‘Blue Beetle’ is fantastic, with impressive visuals, lively Latino music, thrilling action, and humorous moments. Every scene is well-executed, particularly the Blue Beetle suit transformation. According to the film’s plot:
Recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Super Hero Blue Beetle.
