Filming for DC’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, starring Milly Alcock, has wrapped after a four-month shoot, as confirmed by one of the film’s makeup and prosthetic artists. The film has now entered post-production.
Production began on January 13, 2025, at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden and in London, England, and concluded on May 9 in Iceland.
The makeup artist shared an image featuring a black cloth containing the Supergirl logo and wrote, “4 months, 3 countries, bl**d, sweat and tears, in cinemas next June.” See the image below.

Last month, Jason Momoa, who plays Lobo in the movie, confirmed in an Instagram post that his part of the filming was completed.
Momoa said, “THAT’S A WRAP ON LOBO. So thankful to play this role. And very thankful for my present — mahalo Kelly, Ben, Todd, all the crew at Specialized for my MINECRAFT present. Pink on pink S-WORKS LEVO. Your support is amazing. This is the greatest bike I have ever ridden. S-Works motor is insane. LOVE YOU GUYS. All my aloha, everyone. — J.”
Directed by Craig Gillespie, from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira and based on the comic by Tom King and Evely, the film will serve as the second entry in the DC Universe and the fourth installment of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
The film stars Alcock play the role of Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye, Momoa as Lobo, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, and Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze.
