Who is Storm in Marvel Comics?
Ororo Munroe, also known as Storm, is a trailblazing character in the X-Men universe. Created by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum, she made her debut in “Giant-Size X-Men” #1 in May 1975. On-screen, she was portrayed by Halle Berry and Alexandra Shipp, while in the animated series, she was brought to life by Sealy-Smith and Iona Morris.
As an Omega-Level Mutant, Storm possesses the psionic ability to manipulate weather. She can control all forms of precipitation, temperature, and electromagnetic phenomena, allowing her to create extreme weather conditions and manipulate cosmic storms and ocean currents. Additionally, Storm can visually perceive energy patterns in the atmosphere, with her eyes turning a striking solid white. Her combat skills, honed under the guidance of Achmed el-Gibar, Professor X, Wolverine, and T’Challa, make her a formidable hand-to-hand fighter and marksman. Fluent in multiple languages and possessing immense willpower, Storm’s magical potential, stemming from her ancestry of sorceresses and priestesses, was recently showcased during the Arakko civil war, where she became the cornerstone for Apocalypse’s mutant magic circuit.
The ‘What If…?’ show, which has been renewed for a third season, will also feature the return of Eternals members Sersi, Ikaris, Thena, Ajak, Kingo, Phastos, Makkari, Druig, and Gilgamesh.
A. C. Bradley, the creator of Marvel’s ‘What If…?,’ has confirmed her non-return for Season 3. However, her work on the episode “What If… Red Guardian Stopped The Winter Soldier?” will be credited.
