F9: Fast Saga, will premiere and sell via Video On Demand on July 30 after grossing $163 million in the US and $622 million worldwide.
“Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is enjoying a peaceful life off the grid with Letty and his kid, little Brian,” according to the official F9 synopsis, “but they know that danger lies just over their peaceful horizon.” This time, the threat will compel Dom to face his past crimes if he is to save people he cares about. His team band together to foil a world-shattering scheme masterminded by the most talented assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: Dom’s abandoned brother, Jakob (John Cena, The Suicide Squad).”
F9 had a mixed response with critics. It now has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 69 percent. “F9 takes the franchise flying more over the top than ever before, but director Justin Lin’s penchant for ludicrous set pieces keeps the action humming,” says the critical consensus.
