John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place Part III is reportedly exploring Cillian Murphy‘s Emmett backstory, as he will portray a U.S. Navy officer.

The newly leaked set images reveal Murphy’s Emmett preparing to fight against the alien invasion. The previous movie hinted that the invasion completely broke Emmett. He lost his family, leaving him isolated and deeply depressed.

Most recently, Murphy was spotted on the set of A Quiet Place Part III in New York City. In the images, the actor is seen wearing military gear, carrying a rifle, and sporting a USN jacket patch. He was seen carrying a gun and aiming it at several military personnel before running off.

Back in May, Jack O’Connell was spotted during the early stages of production. O’Connell was seen wearing a National Guard uniform. He plays an important role in the movie.
In A Quiet Place Part III, Cillian Murphy will return as Emmett, Emily Blunt as Evelyn Abbott, Millicent Simmonds as Regan Abbott, and Noah Jupe as Marcus Abbott. The roles of new cast additions Jack O’Connell, Katy O’Brian, and Jason Clarke have not yet been revealed.
John Krasinski is directing A Quiet Place Part III from his own screenplay. He is also producing alongside Allyson Seeger for Sunday Night, which has a first-look deal with the studio. Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form are producing for Platinum Dunes. Plot details are currently being kept under wraps.
A Quiet Place Part III is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 30, 2027, by Paramount Pictures.
