The first look at Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim has been revealed on the set of Disney’s live-action Tangled, which is now filming in Spain.
The new leaked images show Croft and Manheim in the costumes of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. In the first on-set photo, Croft appears as Rapunzel, with crew members adjusting her long blonde hair extension or wig during filming. See it below.
Manheim has dark, slicked-back hair, a thin mustache, and wears a blue vest, a cream-colored shirt, a brown belt, and tan pants, closely matching Flynn Rider’s classic look.
Below, you can see the new look inside the castle set for Tangled. The images reveal new blue tapestries decorating the castle, along with the village market set.
Following Moana‘s disappointing box office debut, expectations are now higher for Disney’s live-action Tangled. The movie has several advantages, including a bigger gap from the original animated film and no recent sequel. Because of that, Tangled could become Disney’s next big live-action success.
In the film, Croft stars as Rapunzel alongside Manheim as Flynn Rider, the thief who helps her escape the tower. Kathryn Hahn plays the villainous Mother Gothel, while Diego Luna has been cast in an undisclosed role.
The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey is directing the film from a screenplay by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and Michael Montemayor. The film is based on Disney’s Academy Award-nominated 2010 animated classic Tangled. The film reimagines Disney’s Tangled, following Rapunzel as she leaves her tower with Flynn Rider and embarks on a journey of self-discovery.
The film is produced by Kristin Burr under Burr! Productions, with Lucy Kitada executive producing. Disney Live Action’s EVP of Production, Jessica Virtue, is overseeing the project.
The live-action Tangled is expected to be released in theaters in late 2027 or 2028.
