The first look at The Fantastic Four inside Galactus’ Worldship (Taa II) has been revealed in Marvel’s new trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. This is a major spoiler teased by Marvel from the movie.

In the trailer, the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) appears in the Fantastic Four’s retro universe and says, “I herald his beginning. I herald your end. I herald Galactus.” The Fantastic Four team appears to be heading into space and entering Galactus’ Worldship. What’s their plan?

In Marvel Comics, Galactus’ Worldship — Taa II — is a highly advanced spacecraft that serves as both his home and base of operations. It contains Galactus’ technology — including feeding chambers, armories, and databanks filled with cosmic knowledge. Taa II drifts through space, anchored wherever Galactus temporarily resides — often near a planet he intends to consume.
In leaked plot details for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, it is reported that Galactus (Ralph Ineson) is aboard a massive ship, consuming a planet. He agrees to spare Earth — but only in exchange for their child, Franklin Richards. The team refuses — and battles the Silver Surfer (Garner). They also plan to teleport Galactus away from Earth.

Here’s the plot details for The Fantastic Four: First Steps:
Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm / Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm / Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm / The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet — and everyone on it — weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
The film also stars Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles. Directed by Matt Shakman, produced by Kevin Feige, and executive produced by Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters and IMAX on July 25, 2025.
