The first look at ‘The Nun 2‘ has been unveiled. Although the official trailer is set to be released next week, lucky attendees at CinemaCon 2023 were treated to an exclusive screening of the trailer. Also, a first-look poster has been released online.

In the new images, we see the return of Taissa Farmiga, who reprises her role as Sister Irene, and Bonnie Aarons, who also makes a chilling return as Valak, the menacing demonic entity known as The Nun. See the images below.
Directed by Michael Chaves from a screenplay by Akela Cooper, Ian Goldberg, and Richard Naing from a story by Cooper. The film is a sequel to The Nun (2018) and the ninth installment in ‘The Conjuring‘ Universe franchise. The film tells the story of a nun in Romania who takes her own life, and the investigation that ensues to uncover the truth behind her death.
The film stars Storm Reid, Taissa Farmiga, Katelyn Rose Downey, Bonnie Aarons, Jonas Bloquet, and Anna Popplewell. James Wan and Peter Safran return as co-producers, with Judson Scott also serving as a producer.
‘The Nun’ was released in 2018, directed by Corin Hardy. It is a spin-off/prequel to ‘The Conjuring 2’ and is part of ‘The Conjuring’ franchise. The film takes place in 1952 and follows the story of a Catholic priest named Father Burke and a novice nun named Sister Irene. They are sent by the Vatican to investigate the mysterious suicide of a nun at the Cârța Monastery in Romania. As they delve into the investigation, they encounter a malevolent demonic presence in the form of a nun, who is responsible for the sinister events taking place at the monastery. The film grossed over $365 million worldwide.
The fourth installment in The Conjuring film franchise is in development at New Line Cinema. David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick is set to pen the script for ‘The Conjuring 4,’ and James Wan and Peter Safran are returning to produce. Till now, there are 8 successful films in the Conjuring Universe, which grossed $2.1 billion combined. The last film in the Conjuring franchise was ‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It‘ released in 2021 and grossed $206 million against a budget of $39 million.
