The filming for Travis Knight‘s live-action Masters of the Universe movie is currently underway in London, which began in January 2025.
Recently, Nicholas Galitzine, who plays Prince Adam in the movie, was spotted on the set of Masters of the Universe in London. In the images, Galitzine was seen captured by the security forces on Earth, who seized the Power Sword and escorted Prince Adam (Galitzine) to the police station. See the images below.
Directed by Knight from a screenplay by Chris Butler, the film also stars Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as Goat Man, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress of Castle Grayskull, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Malcolm/Fisto, James Purefoy as King Randor, and Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena.
Here’s the plot synopsis for Masters of the Universe:
“Ten-year-old Prince Adam, the future HE-MAN, crash-lands on Earth in a spaceship, separating him from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home planet, Eternia.
Almost two decades later, Prince Adam, now a young man, rediscovers the Power Sword and is transported back to Eternia. He must now defend his home planet from the evil forces of Skeletor and his minions.
To defeat Skeletor, Prince Adam must uncover the secrets of his past and embrace his destiny as the legendary HE-MAN—the most powerful man in the Universe!”
In an interview with W Magazine, Galitzine spoke about the intense preparation for his role as He-Man. He joked, saying, “No pressure, I just have to embody the strongest man in the universe.” He also said that he is eating a lot of food, weightlifting, and performing stunts.
He shared that he’s eating about 4,000 calories a day due to his physical regimen, adding, “With all the physical work I’m doing, you end up hungry at the end of the day, which is quite surprising. This is the fun part.”
The film is produced by Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch, and DeVon Franklin, with production handled by Mattel Films, Escape Artists, and Franklin Entertainment.
Masters of the Universe will hit theaters on June 5, 2026, by Amazon MGM Studios.
