After wrapping up The Boys with Season 5, the franchise is reportedly moving forward with a new spin-off set in Mexico.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, The Boys: Mexico will take place months after the end of the original series and will bring Jensen Ackles‘ Soldier Boy into the story.
“One of the plotlines involves supes crossing the border as undocumented immigrants, while an anti-Supe squad from the other side tries to stop them.”

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Eric Kripke revealed plans for the spin-off The Boys: Mexico, which is currently in development.
Kripke revealed that the pilot script for The Boys: Mexico has already been delivered to Amazon MGM Studios.
“They just delivered a draft of the pilot to Amazon,” Kripke said. “Amazon seemed to really like it and seemed to be making all the right noises. They gave some notes, so we’re gonna incorporate those notes. Gareth [Dunnet-Alcocer], who is the writer, is so smart and good. He’ll do, I’m sure, another draft. But it feels like… who the hell knows? You can never predict this stuff, but we’re hopeful.”

Kripke explains Soldier Boy’s absence in the final episode of The Boys:
Kripke said, “I think we told his story the way we wanted to in this season. And part of it… I can only be annoyingly evasive about saying this because we’re immersed in the Vought Rising saga and we know what the story is. We know where it’s going; a lot of it will make sense, even if it doesn’t make sense to the viewers at this exact moment, but hang in there, everything will make sense. I think it’s the appropriate point to end the story because, after all, The Boys is about The Boys…”
The upcoming spin-off The Boys: Mexico will reportedly star Gael García Bernal and Ackles, with the remaining cast still listed as TBA.
Following the events of The Boys finale, The Boys: Mexico will reportedly shift the franchise to Mexico City while exploring the global consequences left behind by Vought International. The spin-off is said to maintain the edgy and violent style of the original series while introducing a distinctly Mexican atmosphere and storytelling approach.
Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer will write the series, with Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna, Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Sony Pictures Television attached as executive producers.
The Boys: Mexico could finally explore how Supe culture works outside the United States, opening the door for more international spin-offs in the future.
All episodes of The Boys Season 5 are now streaming on Prime Video.
