In a quiet corner of Massachusetts circa 1970, an unemployed carpenter turned amateur art thief plans his first big heist. When things go haywire, his life begins to unravel.
The film, written and directed by Reichardt, stars O’Connor as as James Blaine Mooney, Haim as Terri Mooney, John Magaro as Fred, Hope Davis as Sarah Mooney, Bill Camp as Bill Mooney, Gaby Hoffmann as Maude, Amanda Plummer, Eli Gelb as Guy Hickey, Cole Doman as Larry Duffy, Javion Allen as Ronnie Gibson, Matthew Maher, Rhenzy Feliz, D.J. Stroud, and Sterling Thompson as Carl Mooney.
The Mastermind will premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and will then be released in the U.S., U.K., Latin America, Germany, Turkey, Canada, the Netherlands, Ireland, India, and more.
