It’s almost confirmed that Wolverine is returning in Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday.
Most recently, Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine stunt double, Daniel Stevens, posted a photo from Pinewood Studios, where filming for Avengers: Doomsday is underway. Also, Jackman shared training footage on X (formerly Twitter) for his return as Wolverine.
Following the rumors of Jackman’s Wolverine return, X user @UnBoxPHD — who leaked multiple set images from the Avengers: Doomsday set — has also confirmed that Wolverine was spotted filming scenes.

The film is also connected to the Void, previously seen in Deadpool & Wolverine. Marvel has officially announced that X-Men members are returning in Avengers: Doomsday.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Alan Cumming described returning as Nightcrawler in Avengers: Doomsday as a “healing experience” after his role in X2.

Cumming said, “I realized that after X-Men, I stopped doing those kinds of bigger, blockbuster-type films. I didn’t do anything like that for years. I purposely went away from that big machine because I didn’t want to be an unhappy cog. Going back to a different atmosphere, it’s really nice.”
During filming, some leaked images appeared online showing a destroyed Sentinel in front of the X-Mansion on the Doomsday set. It is reported that Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom will be using Sentinels to fight the X-Men in Avengers: Doomsday.
