Gareth Edwards‘ ‘Jurassic World 4‘ has officially begun filming in Thailand. According to The Phuket Express, Krabi Governor Somchai Hanpakdeepatima allowed Universal Pictures to shoot in Thailand from June 13 to July 16.
After the Thailand shoot is over, the next schedule will begin in Malta and the U.K. On X, John posted some images of the production equipment. You can see that below.
The Krabi Governor has asked the production team to be mindful of the environment, as local residents have expressed concerns about potential harm to the area. In response, the Jurassic World production team has confirmed that environmental protection is a top priority. They have a dedicated environmental protection team in place at the film production locations to ensure no impact on the environment.
Directed by Edwards and written by David Koepp, stars Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, and David Iacono.
The film is described as “a completely fresh take launching a new Jurassic era, following three adults and three teens getting stuck on the Island.”
The film will be executive produced by Steven Spielberg through Amblin Entertainment, with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley producing. Kelly McCormick will also produce through 87North. Sara Scott, Executive Vice President of Production Development, and Jacqueline Garell, Creative Executive of Production Development, will oversee the project for the Studio.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 2, 2025, by Universal Pictures.
