Note: This post contains potential spoilers for Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.
A new leaked Discord report for Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars has been revealed.
The filming for Secret Wars is set to begin in mid-2026. It is reported that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will appear, but Doomsday and Kang will not. The Maker will be one of the protagonists, acting alongside Reed Richards, just as in the comics. Also, several characters will feature in both Doomsday and Secret Wars, with Doctor Doom as the main focus. Meanwhile, Bob will spend years being tortured to release energy for Battleworld, just like in the comics. Anchor beings will replace Molecule Man, and Wanda will be a central protagonist.
Of the classic X-Men, only Cyclops and Magneto will appear. The main protagonists of Secret Wars will include the liferaft occupants, Doom, and his allies—among them Wanda, who is likely promised her children—as well as anyone not under mind control. Cyclops will be on the liferaft, while Spider-Man will have a role comparable to his part in Infinity War. The liferaft occupants will be trapped “passed out” inside the ship buried beneath the Earth. Many special appearances and surprises are also expected.
According to reports, the 1984 Secret Wars will not be adapted, and the original multiversal variant war involving Kang has been dropped, with the film now adapting the 2015 Secret Wars. Originally, the film was planned to be split into two parts, but that is no longer the case. Black Swan will play a very important role, and the story will center on Doom as the key figure, similar to how Thanos was positioned in previous storylines.
Post-Secret Wars

- Hawkeye Season 2 series/special should come in this saga, ending the legacy of Hawkeye, with Kate Bishop taking the mantle; there were talks of introducing her brother, who is also an archer

Doomsday recently wrapped filming and has entered post-production. The film is directed by the Russo brothers, from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron, and features cinematography by Newton Thomas Sigel.
As of now, the announced cast members of Avengers: Doomsday are: Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Danny Ramirez as Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Hemsworth as Thor, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, and Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost. Ian McKellen as Magneto, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Lewis Pullman as Sentry.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters and IMAX across the United States on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled for release on December 17, 2027.
