Netflix has spent millions on the production of The Adventures of Cliff Booth, a spinoff of Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
The budget for Cliff Booth is reportedly $200M, including Tarantino’s script, as well as the salaries of Brad Pitt and David Fincher.
According to PUCK report, Netflix reportedly paid premium deals for The Adventures of Cliff Booth. The streamer paid $20M to Tarantino for the script. He was initially offered the chance to direct but instead took the deal and allowed Fincher to helm the film.
Pitt was paid $40M to return as Cliff Booth, while David Fincher, who is directing the film, was paid $20M.

Quentin Tarantino is not directing the sequel because he is saving his final (tenth) movie. He wants his last film to be special. He had planned The Movie Critic as his final film but later canceled it. His final project is still unknown.
