According to reports, the main five members—Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, Shaggy Rogers, and Scooby-Doo—are appearing in the show. They are reportedly casting teen actors to play the high-school–aged Mystery Gang. Production is seeking fresh faces for the ensemble, with screen tests currently underway.

There are rumors that Frank Welker is set to voice Scooby-Doo in the series. The actor voiced Fred Jones beginning in 1969 and Scooby-Doo in the 2002 live-action movie.

Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Leigh London Redman executive produce through Berlanti Productions, with André Nemec and Jeff Pinkner representing Midnight Radio. The project is co-produced by Warner Bros. Television and Netflix.

The live-action Scooby-Doo TV series will consist of eight episodes and is set to premiere in 2027.
