Note: This article contains spoilers for Netflix‘s Stranger Things Season 5.
A new leak from Season 5 of Stranger Things has been circulating online following the world premiere of Episodes 1 and 2 in Los Angeles.
On X, a user shared key details from the first two episodes of Stranger Things Season 5.
Episode 1: The Wheeler house is a mess with the Byers staying there. Holly sees her imaginary friend Mr. Whatsit and calls everyone to breakfast. Jonathan and Will wake up in the basement and argue over who forgot to set an alarm. Mike bangs on the bathroom door, thinking Nancy is inside, but it’s actually Joyce. Nancy snarks at him afterward. Ted is annoyed at breakfast, especially when he doesn’t get his bacon. Mike, Will, and Holly bike to school.
At school, Robin hosts her radio show with Steve making goofy noises. She plays a song for Vickie, and we see Vickie smiling in her car. Dustin wears his Hellfire shirt, angering the jocks. Andy pins him to a locker, rips his shirt, and Lucas steps in with an iconic threat.

Dustin later pulls a prank involving a snake and “Hellfire Lives” graffiti, which backfires. Meanwhile, the military falsely tracks a woman they think is El. Hopper is training the real El, who wants to join a dangerous mission, but he keeps stalling her. Joyce calls him out for babying Will. They share a kiss.
Jonathan and Steve are awkwardly competing for Nancy’s attention. Robin cancels her date with Vickie but promises to make it up to her — Will catches them kissing and freaks out. Will later has another “Vecna sense” moment and nearly passes out. Holly starts seeing things too. Karen fights Ted over Holly’s “imaginary” friend, and Holly ends up in tears.
Dustin visits Eddie’s grave, but the jocks ambush and beat him up. Mike and El reunite and talk on the rooftop about everyone acting weird and the upcoming crawl mission — their regular trips into the Upside Down to hunt for Vecna’s body.
When Dustin goes missing, Jonathan replaces him in the van with Steve. Will wants to go, but Joyce stops him, upsetting him. Hopper and Joyce have a sweet moment before he heads into the Upside Down. The mission goes bad: a demogorgon attacks, Hopper is hurt, and Will starts seizing because he’s connected to the creature. Will warns them the Wheeler house is next.
Meanwhile, Ted is golfing, Karen is drinking, and Holly is in her room when the lights flicker and the ceiling starts to crack open.
Episode 2: The Wheeler house attack is intense. A demogorgon crashes through the ceiling in Holly’s room. She screams for her mom, runs to the bathroom, and hides in the tub. Ted rushes in, calls for Karen, grabs a golf club, and hits the demogorgon. It throws him through a wall, possibly into Mike’s room.
Nancy and Mike talk over the radio on their way to the house, and Mike is clearly panicking. Nancy and El arrive first. Karen is on the floor, bleeding. They hear Holly scream, and El leaps through a gate into the Upside Down after her and the demogorgon. The gate closes behind her.
