Netflix has released the first trailer for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, starring Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby. Set years after the final season of Peaky Blinders, the film also features Barry Keoghan as Duke Shelby, Tommy’s illegitimate son and the heir to his criminal empire, who was introduced in Season 6.
In the trailer, Rebecca Ferguson‘s character says, “You live in a house haunted by ghosts. You abandoned your kingdom. And you abandoned your son.”

Seven years on, Duke is running the Peaky Blinders “like it’s 1919 all over again,” as Ada Shelby (Sophie Rundle) tells Tommy.
Duke declares in the trailer, “The world don’t give a f*** about me, and I don’t give a fuck about the world.” The young Shelby appears to be in the perfect position to be manipulated by a new ally — one even more unsavory than the Peaky Blinders’ usual contemporaries.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, series creator Steven Knight said that the film’s main structure centers on “the father and son.” While the concept has evolved somewhat in the four years since Season 6 aired, its core idea remains the same, as he breaks down the trailer and teases what audiences can expect from Thomas Shelby’s final farewell.
The film is directed by Tom Harper from a screenplay by Steven Knight. Produced by Guy Heeley, Cillian Murphy, Steven Knight, and Patrick Holland, with executive producers Andrew Warren, Caryn Mandabach, Jamie Glazebrook, Harper, and David Kosse.
Here are the plot details for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man:

The film also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Stephen Graham as Hayden Stagg, Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne (née Shelby), Ned Dennehy as Charlie Strong, Packy Lee as Johnny Dogs, Ian Peck as Curly, Jay Lycurgo, and Barry Keoghan.
